Inspiration is easy at the Science Museum of Minnesota, which specializes in creating innovative and thought provoking exhibits and events. I’ve designed numerous annual reports for the museum, collaborating with staff, writers, and photographers including Rich Fleischman and Joe Treleven. Budgets were tight, necessitating extra creativity and resourcefulness.
Stationery may be going out of style, but a physical piece of mail is less likely to be ignored than an email. My task is to make you feel guilty about recycling it without taking a look first.
These programs for the MacPhail Spotlight Series have been a highlight of my work for MacPhail Center for Music. A favorite is the beautiful photo series taken in MacPhail's new performance hall by photographer Kris Drake. I also enjoy the hunt for evocative stock photography and illustration within the constraints of a non-profit's budget.
Recent logo work include identities for museum programs and events and pro bono projects.
Designing invitations feels like a perk, not a job, (and it's a chance to use fancy script.) I had the opportunity to design many donor gala event invitations for the Science Museum of Minnesota.
I created and updated numerous catalogs and catalog covers for the various educational offerings at the Science Museum of Minnesota.
My newsletter design experience ranges from 4-page updates to magazine-length publications with photo and illustration art direction.
Brochures should combine engaging visuals with easy to understand information.
Posters can involve writing catchy headlines or letting the image speak for itself.
My design experience ranges from billboards to buttons. Here are a few miscellaneous favorites.
